The Cambridge Neighbourhood Table has 3 locations located in neighbourhoods across Cambridge, Ontario. By creating an environment where people can share conversations and enjoy a meal together, the Cambridge Neighbourhood Table encourages meaningful interactions and connections among community members. Everyone is welcome at the table!

Volunteer With Cambridge Neighbourhood Table
Cambridge Neighbourhood Table is seeking volunteers for the following roles:
Hospitality and Host Volunteer
What is a Hospitality Volunteer?
Hospitality Volunteers are needed for each location. This role may be for you, if you:

Enjoy meeting new people

Have a passion for interacting with guests
What will I be doing?
Hospitality Volunteers will help in a variety of ways:
-
Greeting guests as they arrive
-
Build relationships with guests through conversation and while participating in games and activities.

Help guests connect to essential services provided by our partner agencies.
What’s the time commitment?
A 2.5-hour commitment once a week (every week) is encouraged, either from 3 pm-5:00 pm or 5:00 pm-7 pm.
What day and where?
Mondays at Langs, 1145 Concession Rd.
Tuesday at the Freedon Centre, 1332 Hamilton Rd.
Fridays at Forward Church, 55 Franklin Blvd.
Is there training provided?
Yes, training will be provided for all volunteer roles.

Meal Team Volunteer
What is a Meal Team Volunteer?
Meal teams are needed for each location. Each meal team needs a team leader and usually has 12 meal team members. Consider volunteering if you:

Are part of an existing team (corporation, business, faith based, community based, sports team, etc.) and want to make a difference in your community

Are primarily interested in meal preparation, serving and clean-up
What will I be doing?
The role of a Meal Team is to:
-
plan the menu
-
prepare the meal from 12:00-5:00pm
-
serve the buffet-style meal from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
-
clean-up
What’s the time commitment?
We encourage meal teams to sign on for one meal a month. Once every other month (or other frequency) is an option as well, please contact us.
Time commitment for 12 team members is determined by each meal team, along these lines:

4-6 team members for meal preparation from 12 pm to 4:30 pm
-
4-6 team members will focus on meal serving and cleanup from 4:30 pm to 7 pm
