Cambridge Neighbourhood Table is quickly becoming a cornerstone of community building.
Each week, neighbours from all walks of life come together at the Cambridge Neighbourhood Table to connect over a delicious meal and meaningful conversations. Last Friday the topic of discussion was community engagement. Over a meal they were able to share experiences and collaboratively brainstorm ideas surrounding community engagement.
The Waterloo Region Community Foundation is preparing for population growth as the region is predicted to grow to 1 million people. Neighbourhood Associations and organizations like Cambridge Neighbourhood Table are going to stand as the communal spaces where meals are offered, community is well connected, and resources/information is shared.
The #onthetable event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of coming together as a community.
